Reasons to be an Artist

One of the best things about being an artist, is trading art with other artists. I have a friend whose a potter and whose pie plates I loved, but could not afford. I proposed a trade, and voila! He now is a proud owner of seven monotypes- which are very different from most of my work. And I am now a proud owner of a pie plate, loaf pan, TEA POT, and large coffee mug. He and his wife are having their first baby, a girl and they wanted her surrounded by the colors of Monet. So I did my best to channel his color pallet.
